1910's Champlevé Holiday Sash Buckle

A dazzling 1910's enamel and rhinestone buckle. Done in a rich natural brass with detailed champlevé enamel. Champlevé is a centuries old technique where reservoirs or "cells" are made in a pattern and then filled with vitreous enamel.Inside bar is done with a large faceted rich red cabochon. Gorgeous on the sash belt of a gown or to turn into a bracelet or choker!

Condition: Excellent – The piece shows typical, although minor, signs of wear. Two missing rhinestones and a few darkened ones. Presents beautifully and priced accordingly!
