1982 Painted Ward E. Herrmann Belt Buckle

A beautifully done hand-painted belt buckle by naturalist artist, Ward E. Herrmann. Made in 1982 it features a glazed wood buckle with highly-detailed flying ducks. Attached to a leather belt that is perfectly worn in. About the artist: Herrmann lived in the Catskills for seventy four years and was an avid lover of nature. He is perhaps best recognized as the author of the 1974 book, Spans of Time: Covered Bridges of Delaware County. 

Belt buckle dimensions: 3.5" X 2.5"

Leather belt (Which can be replaced): 28"-32" not including buckle

Condition: Excellent – The piece shows typical, although minor, signs of wear. Buckle itself is in fantastic shape. Belt is worn and shows some oxidization on hardware.
