RARE 1910's POW Oversized Snake Necklace

An incredible piece of history! From the National WW1 Museum in response to one of theirs:  "This piece was made by the beaded crochet method or weaving on small looms. Crochet beaded snakes were the most popular of the beaded souvenirs created in the prisoner of war camps. Snakes were a symbol of good luck in parts of Southeast Europe, so the prisoner of war snakes could have had a symbolic importance for their makers." This particular piece is extra unique due to it's size. So few large ones like this are in circulation, making this a wonderful collector's item!

Condition:  Excellent – The piece shows typical, although minor, signs of wear. A few small spots of age. Overall in excellent wearable condition.
